College planning and guidance begins with helping students think clearly about what they want from college and why. Students ultimately choose where they want to apply, and my role is to provide informed guidance, direction, and perspective as they consider different schools, paths, and possibilities.

The planning process takes into account a student’s academic profile, interests, passions, personality, and longer-term goals, including potential career directions. From there, we develop a thoughtful set of target schools and a coherent plan that aligns with the student’s preferences while optimizing for realistic admissions outcomes.

Once a plan is in place, the focus shifts to executing it effectively. Every academic, extracurricular, and application decision is evaluated in terms of how it strengthens the student’s overall candidacy. This may include course planning, decisions around activities, application structure, and essay development, all designed to present the strongest possible version of the student without misrepresentation. Support can be short term or long term depending on where the student is in the process, but the approach is always deliberate, student-centered, and grounded in sound judgment rather than gimmicks or misrepresentation.
