About Me

I’m Ryan Park, founder of The Park Method. I’ve worked with students since 2014, providing highly individualized academic instruction and mentorship for students aiming at the top end of academic performance.

I graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest and earned an Industrial Engineering degree from Northwestern University. My academic background includes perfect scores on the SAT, AP exams, and SAT Subject Tests, as well as experience competing at the highest levels of mathematics competition, including the USAMO.

These experiences inform the level of rigor I bring to my work and the standards I hold capable students to, but more importantly, they allow me to recognize genuine potential, diagnose where thinking breaks down, and help students develop the habits required to perform at demanding academic levels.

Over the years, my students have made significant increases in standardized testing scores, improved performance in demanding academic environments, succeeded in advanced and competitive settings, and earned admission to highly selective schools and universities.

What distinguishes my work is not credentials alone, but how I apply them. I focus on how students think: how they reason, where their understanding breaks down, and how to build durable problem-solving ability rather than short-term performance. I push students to engage seriously with difficult material, explain their thinking precisely, and develop intellectual independence over time.

The Park Method is intentionally selective. I work with a limited number of students in a fully virtual setting, allowing for sustained, focused mentorship and long-term academic development. I typically work with families who value depth, rigor, and long-term growth over short-term fixes.
